DRESSER MAKEOVERS

Before and After- This banged up old dresser was in need of a new life. I painted it brown to match my clients comforter and accented it with an orange red crackle and glaze. Then added gold edges which are hard to see in the picture. It really turned out great. The picture does not do it justice.

Can you believe that this had an ugly white marbled top? It was sooo ugly and now, after a little paint, I love it!

CONTAINERS OF A DIFFERENT KIND!

Easter is coming and who would have thought to use eggs for flower vases? I think I would have dyed them first but what a good idea!
This is Hotel Indigo in London. Talk about thinking BIG!

GARDEN FOR ALL SEASONS

This is the 4 Seasons Garden. I found it on http://paradisexpress.blogspot.com/ and was absolutely amazed at what this couple has created. I went to their website but couldn't get the slide show to work. But you might take the time to check it out. Gorgeous!!!! www.fourseasonsgarden.co.uk

Gorgeous chandelier right? Look closer... see anything unusual? Tampons maybe? Who knew they had another function even a man could appreciate!

"POT" OF GOLD OR MAYBE SILVER

How would you like to find this at the end of your rainbow? Not exactly a "pot of gold."
Happy St Patty's Day in any case!

IN THE FOLIAGE

Beautiful things may be hiding in the leaves. I love the bear fountain, where can I get one? (top picture from A Caribbean Garden Blog, bottom one from Paradise Express Blog)

MAGIC MARKER ON THE WALLS?!!!!!

I found this on the blog Thought Patterns, love it!!!! Now I need to figure out what and where I am going to try it! Maybe the bathroom?

Marker Magic

What to do this weekend? Hmmmm, I've been thinking about getting some Sharpies and decorating our walls with some drawings - now, that's a fun and productive way to spend one's time. I've been endlessly inspired by these images...

Wall5

From Anthropologie '08 catalogue

Wall6

I'm officially in love with these walls.

Wall1

I didn't think it could get better, but it does.

Wall2

Aren't these simple murals stunning?

Wall8

All photos above from '08 Anthropologie catalogue.

Then I remembered seeing photos of Charlie Kratzer's incredible basement murals on some design blog about a year ago:

All done with $10 worth of sharpies (see the full story here)

I'm more and more convinced that I should do something like this to our hall, bedroom, kitchen and any other wall I come into contact with.

Wait, don't go anywhere, I've got more...

Walldraw

I adore this one! From Do It Yourself site, click on their site to find the full instructions.

But, wait...

... walls designed by London artist Charlotte Mann with her magic markers...

Incredible.

Cubewide

This room just blew me off my feet.

Charlotte-Mann-Walls-3

Charlotte Mann, this is amazing!

I'm so eager to get a little (or big!) project going in our household, but before I start drawing on walls, maybe I should first check with my husband. :D

Come to think, this is an ultimate revenge on my childhood and all the times I wanted desperately to draw on my bedroom walls but was not allowed to. Fun!

HAPPY VALENTINES

I just thought this picture was so beautiful. Don't you just want to cuddle with this bunny? The candy box below filled with flowers is a great idea for those left over heart shaped packages, don't you think?
