This weekend Kevin and I took the kids on a long bike ride through some of Chicago's many forest preserve areas. Once Kendall got a bit tired of being buckled into the bike trailer we took a hike through the woods. Our walk soon turned into a treasure hunt of sorts. Here are some of our finds!
Jack O Lantern Mushrooms
There is a doe in there somewhere
These are pretty
Spencer climbing up to get the BIG mushroom
Don't know what it is but it was about 10 inches long
Tiny toad
Hidden treasure
Colors of fall

ReplyDeleteWay to show your mushroom knowledge with Jack O'Lantern. The other's are "Destructive Pholiota" for those interested (and it's edible, just yucky). Stay away from Jack O'Lantern it'll make you awful sick (and it sometimes glows in the dark). Oh yeah this is Amy's blog. Sorry!
