As usual on the weekends, we found ourselves getting out of the house and in to nature. We went to a nature preserve to let the kids get their wiggles out. The Maple and Oak leaves were loosing their fall colored leaves. This particular one is the inspiration for another painting I think! So pretty.
We turned over a few decaying logs to see what treasures were hiding under them. Much to our delight we found a couple of Blue Spotted Salamanders! I will be sad when the weather is too cold to go on our adventures. I guess I will have to come up with some great art projects for the kids to work on while we are stuck in the house. Until then, expect a lot of out door inspiration!
